Lots of action!

Since getting back from Costa Rica late last Friday night things have been kind of hectic to say the least. I feel like we got a lot done the past couple days and it’s been really exciting.

It all started pretty much as soon as I walked off the plane Friday night. A couple of my co-workers also flew or drove into town Friday night in preparation to cover the WSOP November Nine at the Rio. All of us were over at the Rio well before the noon start time in order to get setup and scope out the situation. We were provided with four press passes, but only one of them was for the main seating area close to the stage. The other three were up in the press box and it was a total joke from up there. Luckily we were able to get one more of the passes “upgraded”, but I quickly realized that Michele and I were going to be little use so we just left.

We spent the rest of Saturday afternoon looking at a couple of RV’s. Michele and I have been talking about buying one for a long long time and we ended up finally pulling the trigger on Sunday afternoon. Everything will be finalized this week and we will be the proud new owners of a 2008 Beaver Contessa motorhome. It’s all very exciting. This thing is crazy too. It comes in at 42′ 10″ and it basically a complete home on wheels. It’s loaded with 3 HDTVs, fridge, washer/dryer, tile floor, king size bed, full size bath, four slide outs, and much much more. We plan on taking the RV up to Alaska next year on a multi-month trip. Before then we plan on just getting used to it and building out to domain we will use in conjunction with it. I actually just purchased it last night and I’m excited to get started on www.rvroadtrips.com. This will allow us to use the RV as a business and write off all the related expenses with it. We will legitimately be using it to make money though as the RV affiliate industry is big business. Here is a picture of what we purchased:

In the mean time, we also need a place to live in Las Vegas, so we put an offer on a home today. It’s in the same neighborhood that we lived in when we were in Las Vegas in 2005. We even ended up with the same exact model home. The only difference is we are paying less than half of what we paid for the home in 2005 and it’s already equipped with a wonderful pool. With a little luck, we should be moved in before the end of the year. This is provided that about 100 different things go right between now and then though. Here is a picture of the house we put the offer on today:
